Me: That’s not true. At all. Librarian has forgotten more about our online catalog than I’ll ever know.
Patron: But she couldn’t help me.
Me, looking at Patron’s phone: You click the massive blue button that says “Read”.
Patron: But I don’t want to read it! I want to listen!
Me: This is an eBook. Not an audiobook.
I take their phone and select the audiobook version of what they are looking for.
Patron: BUT HOW DO I DOWNLOAD IT?!?!
Me: Probably the giant blue “listen” button in the same spot as the “read” button I mentioned before.
Patron: But it doesn’t say it’s downloading.
Me: it is. You can listen to it now.
Patron: But how do I know when it’s done????
Me: You can start listening right now and it will download in the background.
Patron: So boys ARE better at this than girls.
Me: Get out.
