A high school orchestra is playing in the music department.

 

Me: UGGGGH

Me: Why don’t they hold this in the auditorium? Y’know, the auditorium that’s designed for performances. This building is stone! The sound echoes through every department!

Coworker: They’re high school kids, leave them alone

Me: I don’t blame them, I blame whoever put the show on!

MUSIC INTENSIFIES

Coworker: Wow yeah this is pretty obnoxious

Me: Did I sound this bad in high school?

Coworker: We all did.

Me: Y’know it’s funny

Me: Jilly quietly resents me. Our high school marching band was always beating up their high school marching band.

Me: We were the best.

Coworker: Do you two argue?

Me: Not as much as we should.

Me: Jilly knows I would win.
