Me: …listen, I’m gonna take the road less traveled here and say it: Mass Effect 2 was my least favorite Mass Effect… and possibly one of my least favorite games ever.
Vendor: WHOA. That is a hot take!
Me: Yeah yeah, I know everyone loves it bu-
Vendor: But they improved the gameplay so much!
Me: Did they? You spend the whole game crouching behind stuff and doing other peoples’ laundry. Also, Mass Effect 3 probably had the best gameplay.
Vendor: You’re building the bestest team ever in the whole galaxy!
Me: BY HELPING THEM RESOLVE THEIR DADDY ISSUES. IT’S BORING.
Vendor: Wow. I just… I’ve never heard this before. At least you can appreciate Mass Effect 3.
Me: Only the ending sucked. The rest was actually super cool.
Vendor: So many people discount the whole game because of that.
