I post on reddit sometimes. The other day, I commented on this silly minecraft video.
Specifically, I commented this.
And someone gave me Gold. For the uninitiated, Reddit Gold is like… well, it’s dumb.
It doesn’t really do anything.
So naturally, I text Foltz- the guy who got me into Reddit anyway.
Me: Foltz.
Me: Someone paid actual human money to give me reddit gold.
Me: For a comment I left on a reddit post
Me: That I copied and pasted from Black Panther.
Foltz: I’m not sure why you’re shocked by this.
Me: I just… it was a funny joke, but was it worth money?
Foltz: People pay more for virtual hats.
Me: God, living in the future is SO WEIRD
