TUESDAY, JULY 24TH
After a quick shower, I pass out on the hotel bed. I didn’t even bother to check the room for bed bugs, which was really stupid considering how that happened once and it wasn’t a great day. I wake up around 6:00PM and decide I’m hungry. I’m not about to spend even more money on transit than I already have, so I’m walking. The closest restaurant is… McDonalds! Yay. And even that is about a quarter mile hike.
It was worth it if only for the fries. They’re mostly salt, which is how you can tell it’s a quality product.
After another nap, I crawl out of bed, check out of the hotel, and make my way back to the airport.
I’m dripping with sweat. Not only is it stupid hot out, but everything feels wrong. Security is too easy. Not that many people. Getting to my gate was too easy. Waiting around was too easy. Something had to be wrong. Was my flight canceled again?
Nope! Uneventfully, I get on the plane, sit down, and get myself ready to finally be home.
And that’s when I see her. The most beautiful creature I’ve ever seen on God’s green earth. We made eye contact, and it was truly love at first sight and I spent my entire plane ride back to Philadelphia getting kisses from THIS BEAUTY RIGHT HERE
This is Sugar. We’re getting married.
