GAZE UPON ME AS I GAZE UPON YOU
Hello, and welcome to the first blog post! In hindsight, it might have made sense to do this first, but whatever. We’re here now. Today is the 17th of August, 2018, and this site has been up for three weeks.
In that time, I’ve gotten some wonderful feedback from my newfound audience, and I’m happy to say there’s plenty more content coming. Most notably, the site launched just a couple days after I returned from Comic-Con International: San Diego (Formally abbreviated as CCI and informally abbreviated as SDCC), and I have 48 stories from that week alone.
So, that’s dropping soon.

Do you LOVE this site? Amazingly, you’re not alone! If’n you look to your right you can type in your email and get emailed every time I post (which is twice daily + blawg posts like this one!). There miiiiight be a bit of an issue with that function, noted below. However! If you hate getting emails as much as I do, I’d recommend following me on Twitter @JMCatron. All Tall Tales auto-post there and it’s a great venue to mock me publicly.
GROWING PAINS
Right! So, as can be expected with a new website, there are a few imperfections in the system. For example, I know that I have subscribers now (hi!), but I lack any way to figure out how many of you (hi!) there are (I have multiple numbers that all contradict), and I have limited control over how the emails get sent.
What I’m tryna say is, in the next couple days, I’m gonna dump 48 Comic-Con Tall Tales all at once. I think I’ve found a way to shut off the emails. If I’m wrong, I’m really, really sorry for all your inboxes (and my own, since I’m testing it all out). Hopefully I can iron this out in the very near future, as I’m attending 3 more cons in the coming months (Keystone Comic Con [sorry, SPX they gave me free tickets and I don’t have to travel!], NYCC, and Shikari Con) and those could come with big multiple-post drops as well.
Additionally, Jilly is generously donating her time and effort into making official Matt’s Tall Tale site art so that I can stop displaying a bunch of default/template stuff. So look forward to that in the next [time is an illusion it’ll be done when it’s done]!
