Group of Patrons: Hi! We’re from [University] on a trip doing a scavenger hunt!
Coworker: Uh
Group: We’re going to all departments and taking pictures.
Coworker: Well ok that’s fine
Group: Can you tell us what is the best part of Philbrick Hall*?
Me: It’s me.
Coworker: Oh, god, no, don’t listen
Me: I am the best part of Philbrick Hall.
Group: Well then we’re going to need to get a photo with you!
I go in, we take photo, many laughs are had (largely at my expense). A couple hours later, one of these young ladies texts me the photo.
Me: Oh my god that whole thing was hilarious. You should bring your friends on more library trips!
Her: Only if you take me to lunch after
Me: 0.0
Like that last part actually happened.. Huge ego, huh?
That actually did happen! We wound up texting for a few weeks (this happened about a year ago) but she lived way way outside of Philly and I don’t have a car, so it was not meant to be.
